Bigg Boss Ultimate: From Vanitha Vijayakumar to Maria Julianna, a look at the probable contestants of the upcoming debut OTT season

While wrapping up the Bigg Boss Tamil 5 grand finale, host Kamal Haasan and actor Sivakarthikeyan unveiled the logo of Bigg Boss Ultimate, a 24x7 live streaming OTT show. Kamal Haasan has confirmed that he will be hosting the show with 13 contestants for 45 days.

The date for the premiere is expected to be announced soon. Social media platforms are flooded with predictions about the probable contestants of the upcoming season. Ahead of the show’s premiere, here's the list of contestants who are expected to be on the show.

The entry of Vanitha Vijayakumar was officially confirmed by host Kamal Haasan in the grand finale. Vanitha was the most popular contestant in Bigg Boss Tamil 3. Though she got eliminated as the second contestant of the season, she was brought back to the show at the request of her fans.

Vanitha was often a newsmaker and a controversial contestant during the season. While she was in the house of Bigg Boss Tamil 5, police questioned her over a complaint alleging that she had kidnapped her own daughter. Her re-entry had heightened fans' expectations.

Host Kamal confirmed that the second contestant was actor Bharani. Actor Bharani entered the BB house in the first season and shocked everyone by jumping out of the BB house and eliminating himself.

Gayatri Raghuram alleged that they didn't feel safe with Bharani in the house. Though Bharani sided with Julianna when she was targeted by others, Juliana sided with her and expressed her doubts about his character. This character assassination on Bharani received a huge backlash from the audience.

Despite the huge support from the fans, Bharani jumped off the Bigg Boss house and got himself evicted. This time, Bharani got a second chance.

Julianna, a staff nurse by profession, became famous for raising slogans during the Jallikattu protest in 2017. The fame also got her the opportunity to participate in the inaugural season of Bigg Boss Tamil. Earlier in the show, Julianna in her ‘Jallikattu' stint’ won the audience's support.

But as time went by, she also earned hatred on social media. But the recognition she received from Bigg Boss made her take another leap onto the big screen. Now, Maria Julianna is expected to plunge back into the Bigg Boss house.

Abhirami Venkatachalam, a model, actor, and dancer, entered the Bigg Boss house as a contestant in season 3. Her excessive emotional breakdowns and the audience's opinion about her weakness affected her mission to win the title. The Mugen – Abirami fiasco drastically affected her position in the Bigg Boss Tamil house. She got evicted from the house as the seventh contestant of the season.

Despite the drastic change in her image in the last week as a bold and mature woman, it was too late for her to change the audience's mind. She may enter the house this time to reclaim the hearts.

Suja Varunee entered the Bigg Boss house as the wild card contestant. Her entry had created ripples in the house and stirred up the things in the house. Varunee got a nice entry from Vijay TV. However, she was given the cold shoulder by the inmates, except for Bindhu and Ganesh, who got bashed by others for it. But Suja won the hearts of the fans for her up-close-personal character. This time, she is likely to enter the house to capitalise on her previous success.

During Balaji Murugadoss’s stint in Bigg Boss Tamil 4, his charming looks and straight forward attitude garnered him huge attention from the audience. Even his story about abusive parents left many in tears. But his camaraderie with Shivani Narayanan, verbal brawl with Aari Arjunan received backlash from the audience. However, he has received appreciation from Kamal Haasan for his empathic attitude towards others and also enjoys popular support. He enters the house with a huge amount of people’s support, which he gained from the previous season.
