Marathi actor Shardul Saraf is currently playing the role of Buraji in the show Sindhutai Maji Mai. In an exclusive interview with ETimes TV, the actor who is also known for his role in "Sukh Mhanje Nakki Kay Asta," shared insights into the complexity of Buraji's character and expressed his passion for both acting and writing. Shardul is currently navigating the dual worlds of acting and writing, acknowledging the challenges that come with pursuing both passions simultaneously. He expressed his deep interest and respect for both fields, recognizing the difficulties inherent in each.

​Balancing writing and acting​

Shardul is currently balancing his passion for writing and acting, and talking about it, he said, "I am balancing my both acting and writing passions."Both things are tough to do. I have an interest in both and have immense interest in and respect for them. I have done a lot of work in theater and plays, but they were not very prominent roles, but in Sindhutai, I found out the actor who was in me."

​Shardul on playing Buraji in the show Sindhutai Majhi Mai​

Shardul said, "Buraji is a very interesting character. It has many shades. Buraji sometimes wants to help Chindhi but he behaves sometimes with her differently. Buraji is someone who has a personality with many shadows. The audience will know about it soon."

​About wife Aparna and her work​

Very few know that Sukh Mhanje Nakki Kay Asta actress Aparna is Shardul's wife. Shardul, who is a proud husband, spoke about his wife and her work. He said, "Actually Aparna is the reason why I can manage my writing and acting passion both at the same time. She has become a huge pillar for me. She is someone who balances her work and personal life very well. We have a son Adhir and I am proud of Aparna that she is taking care of her work, me and our son."

​Shardul who is also known as a writer, further opened up about what he thinks is difficult, writing or acting?​

Shardul said, "Both mediums and sections require challenges and unique sides. Both are different from each other. As a writer, I have to develop my character with my writing skills. On the other hand as an actor, I have to work on my acting skills and do modifications whenever it is needed"

​Enjoying the set's atmosphere​

Shardul said in the interview that he is enjoying working on the set of Sindhutai Majhi Mai that he has been missing all these years. He said, "I have worked as a writer, and now I am also acting. Now I can witness and experience the set's atmosphere and how the actors work together like a family. I am now enjoying being on the set, which I was missing all these years when I was writing. Along with the sharing screen space, I am loving being on the set. Thanks to the entire team."
