Exclusive - I did not consciously choose one but nothing can beat a pure love story: Shashank Ketkar on Muramba

Popular Marathi TV actor Shashank Ketkar, who is a heartthrob of the Marathi audience, is all set to surprise everyone with his upcoming new show 'Muramba'. The actor will be playing a lead role in the show opposite Shivani and Nishani. Shashank, who is playing a male lead in the show, shared his happiness exclusively with ETimes TV. Shashank also spoke about choosing a chocolate boy image in TV shows, getting love from the audience, and ignoring negative comments and trolls.

About 'Muramba'...

Talking about playing a lead yet again in the show 'Muramba', Shashank shared his excitement and said, "I am so happy that I am a part of the TV show Muramba. It is such a thrilling experience to be back on TV. It's been a journey from Honar Sun Me Hya Gharchi, He Mann Baware, Pahile Na Me Tula and now Muramba. My fans and viewers have been considering me as their own family member and I am pretty excited that now with this new character and show, they will shower the same love.

'Story is my priority'

My priority is the story of the show. If I like the story as a reader or as a viewer, only then I can give my input. I got to know that I have to play a chef on-screen who runs a food truck and I was happy because I enjoy cooking. I love to make good food and this character is going to be really close to me. Also, there will be a good mix of senior as well as junior actors in the show, so I am pretty excited.

'Nothing that can beat a good love story'

Talking about being a part of yet another love story 'Muramba', Shashank said, "It's a pure love story. In the projects that I have done before, there were never two female leads. But there is a love triangle now. I did not consciously choose a love story but there is nothing that can beat a good love story."

'It's hard to stay away from my son Rugved and wife Priyanka'

It's hard to stay away from my son Rugved and wife Priyanka. They stay in Pune and I am shooting in Mumbai. I have also asked Priyanka to not even video call me because I would have a breakdown if I see Rugved on the phone. I can't hold my tears seeing him. But whatever I am doing and sacrificing now is just for my son and family, so it's all worth it.

'Trollers should keep their life more productive and focus on their own work'

I do read the comments but I try to not ignore them. I do see memes and laugh at times but also at the same time I wonder how much time people have in life to troll and write something negative about people. I do not have that much time. I have a lot of work to do and have a responsibility to entertain the audience. I try to keep myself productive and trollers, too, should keep their life more productive and focus on their own work so that trolling would get less. I am not a social media addict, so it does not bother me much."
