Veteran journalist and former BB Kannada 7 contestant Ravi Belegere passes away at 62: A look at his TV stint

Senior journalist and former Bigg Boss Kannada season 7 contestant Ravi Belagere passed away after suffering a heart attack in the wee hours of Friday. He was 62. According to reports, the former BB contestant suffered a heart attack at his office in Bengaluru. Although he was rushed to the nearby hospital quickly, he breathed his last at the hospital.

Known as one of the most controversial journalists, Ravi entered the controversial show Bigg Boss Kannada season 7 as one of the contestants during the grand premiere. He had been in the news ever since his name appeared as the probable contestant of Bigg Boss Kannada season 7.

The journalist became the heartthrob of the inmates and shared an emotional bond within a short span of time. He was often referred to as an older brother, father, and mentor by his co-contestants.

Having spent a week in the Bigg Boss Kannada season 7, Ravi denied accepting his remuneration for participating in the controversial show. He mentioned that he gained enormous love and affection from his co-contestants which was more than any remuneration.

Known as one of the most daring journalists, Mr. Belagere has also tried his hands at the television. His crime investigation show titled 'Crime Diary' became popular within a short span of time. Ravi Belagere's unique style of narration in the show gained him humongous popularity both in terms of money and fame.

Ravi Belegere made his presence felt in a popular daily soap 'Mukta Mukta'. He played the role of a judge in the show, which was directed by T N Seetharam.

Apart from his tabloid, Ravi Belegere has also worked for a few Kannada news channels as an editor.
