Times when Kannada TV replicated iconic movie scenes

Getting 'inspired' by movies isn't an uncommon phenomenon on television. The makers of soap operas, in fact, take inspiration from the movies and try to replicate the same in their respective shows. Here are some moments when daily soaps adapted iconic scenes from the movies and recreated those in daily soaps keeping in sync with the storyline. Take a look...

Jothe Jotheyalli: Anirudh Jathak and Megha Shetty recreate a retro Kannada song

The makers had recreated the song 'Jeeva Veene needu miditada sangeeta' from the movie 'Hombisilu'. Actors Anirudh Jathkar and Megha Shetty did a justice to the song by replicating the scenario just like the movie. From the expressions to the costumes and the emotions, the duo managed to steal the limelight as they replicated the chemistry of Dr. Vishnuvardhan and Aarthi who featured in the original song. That's not all, the makers have even made it a point to use similar graphics to match the original song.

Gattimela: Vikrant and Arthi replicate a scene from the movie 'Mungaru Male'

Remember the scene from Mungaru Male, where the hero (Ganesh) carries his lady love (Pooja Gandi) in his arms and climbs the steps to reach the hilltop temple to fulfill rituals? Yes, the iconic scene which became popular among many lovebirds in real life as well, was yet again replicated in the daily show 'Gattimela'. In the show, Vikrant carried Aarthi in his arms and climbs up to reach the hilltop temple. The couple visits the temple to seek blessings from the god as they were finally getting married.

Kannadati: Harsha and Bhuvi recreate an iconic scene from the movie 'Mungaru Male'

Upon learning that a couple will lead a happy life if the husband carries his wife to the hilltop temple, Harsha decided to follow it. He carried Bhuvi in his arms and managed to reach the hilltop temple to offer prayers. The lovebirds sought blessings from the goddess as they were entering their marital life soon according to the storyline. Well, this scene from Kannadati, is sure to remind one of the iconic scenes from the Kannada blockbuster movie 'Mungaru Male' which featured actor Ganesh and Pooja Gandhi in the lead.

Haadu Karnataka: Vetaran actor-comedian Umesh recreates the iconic song 'Bombeyatavayya '

Not just daily soaps, reality shows have been recreating the iconic scenes from hit movies as well. Haadu Karnataka, which was one of the most-loved reality shows, witnessed a never-seen-before episode when veteran actor and comedian M. S. Umesh made a surprise entry into the show and entertained the viewers with his signature humour. When one of the contestants, Shivananda Karaganve performed the retro song 'Bombeyatavayya' from the movie 'Shruthi Seridaaga', (which featured iconic Kannada actor Dr. Rajkumar) there was an immediate request from everyone to recreate the scenario LIVE on stage. Well, the actor, who could not deny the request, decided to enact the same. Recalling the song, Umesh asked Shivananda to croon the song while he tried to lip sync for it. The audience went gaga over the performance of the duo and the judges were all praises for Umesh and Shivananda.

Nannamma Superstar: Vanshika Anjani Kashyap recreates an iconic scene from father Master Anand's movie 'Gauri Ganesha'

Vanshi (as she is fondly called) has dressed herself as characters Ganesha, A. Ganesh, M.Ganesh, and Chandramouli from the movie 'Gauri Ganesha'. Master Anand enacted the role of three characters in the movie. Vanshi enacted an iconic scene where Master Anand was asked to make three men believe that he is their son. While Vanshi was seen essaying the character of little Anand from the movie, the latter's mother Yashaswini portrayed the role of the male protagonist 'Lambodar' in the act.
