Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Jethalal aka Dilip Joshi on the show completing 16 years: I will watch the first episode and revisit memories

I wanted to meet you all today exactly 16 years ago in 2008 our first episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was aired. I still remember that day when Asit bhai had called me to his office for Jethalal's role. And after that conversation, we began shooting and today we have completed 16 years. I cannot believe it, even today we are receiving the same amount of love for the show.

I felt like expressing my gratitude to all of you. Especially, Asit Bhai for giving me the character of Jethalal and letting me showcase my talent and entertain you all. Thank you Asit Bhai and our whole team. Thanks to the viewers for watching us, loving and blessing us for these 16 years and please continue watching us.

Right now, I am not in India, I am currently in America and I am sure our whole team will be celebrating 16 years of the show. I hope the team is missing me there because I am dearly missing them here. I would like to thank them all, we have mapped this 16-year-long journey together and entertained the viewers.

'Goli beta masti nahi', Goli beta has left us and begun a new journey. We are missing him for sure.

All those cast members who aren't with us now, I am missing them all in this celebration. I hope that they are all doing good.

Mann kar raha hai ki I should watch the first episode of the show. So once I am done with this live session, I will sit and watch the first episode of the show and revisit all those memories that I made on the show. That first day of our shoot, it was incredible.
