Kanika Maheshwari's character Husna Aara in Seher Hone Ko Hai is being loved by the audience. The actress shared that people love watching Husna Aara because she is complex and emotional. She feels that playing Husna Aara is tough.Kanika talks spoke about how she prepares for her role. She says, "Husna Aara is a character that you can't just play and forget. She has a lot of anger, jealousy, hurt and frustration inside her. To play her realistically I have to feel those emotions when I act. The audience sees the scene but they don't see what I go through to get to that point. Husna Aaras presence is very strong and intense. It stays with me even after the shoot is over.”Kanika shares that she has a way to get out of the character and not take it home. She says, "As soon as I get home I take a shower. It feels like I'm washing away Husna Aaras emotions. When I'm on set I'm Husna Aara. I dress like her talk like her and even think like her. By the end of the day it feels like Husna Aaras emotions are around me. The shower helps me get rid of her darkness and be myself again.”Kanika also opened up about how playing tough roles affects her. She says, "Every character has a feeling to it but Husna Aaras is really heavy. She is driven by emotions that're not like mine. As actors we have to go to emotional places. Like anger, bitterness or pain. The hard part is not just feeling those emotions. Also knowing when to stop feeling them. That's really important.”Kanika thinks that taking care of her emotions is crucial for her well-being. She says, "People think acting is about looking good, on screen and saying lines but its not. It takes a lot of effort. You have to get into the character's world every day. That's why I make time to relax and recharge after work. I believe I need to bring back positivity as strongly as I perform negativity. When I take a shower I leave Husna Aara behind. Let Kanika come back. That's how I stay grounded and give my best to my work.”
