Rupali Ganguly to Satish Shah: Here's what the Sarabhai vs Sarabhai actors are doing now

Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai came as a breath of fresh air amid the dominance of saas-bahu serials. It's been over 13 years since the last episode of this program aired, yet everyone still remembers and loves each and every character. The show had Ratna Pathak Shah as Maya Sarabhai, Satish Shah as Indravadan, Sumeet Raghavan as Sahil Sarabhai, Rupali Ganguly as Monisha Sarabhai, Rajesh Kumar as Rosesh Sarabhai, Deven Bhojani among others.

Let’s take a look at what's keeping the artists busy these days.

She was Indravadan's wife, and she preferred the best part in all aspects of her life. Monisha, her middle-class daughter-in-law, irritated her. Maya's attempt to teach daughter-in-law Monisha sophisticated behaviour, unique sense of humour, sarcastic innuendos made the show more enjoyable. Maya was the favourite of her younger son Rosesh. Her stiff demeanor and elegant dress sense rendered her one of television's most memorable characters. Noted actress Ratna Pathak used to essay the character. Ratna, who used to have a sophisticated appearance, now has salt 'n' pepper hair. Ratna has been busy with Gujarati and Hindi films but besides that, she reunited with the Sarabhai director jodi of Aatish Kapadia and J D Majethia in the OTT comedy show Happy Family: Conditions Apply.

Among the other residents of the house, she was thoughtless, clumsy, and occasionally ignorant. Monisha was previously known as Manisha before her mother-in-law altered it to the more elegant. Monisha and her father-in-law, Indravadan, used to get along well. Rupali went on to appear in shows such as 'Bigg Boss,' 'Khatron Ke Khiladi,' and 'Parvarrish Season 1' and now is the leading lady of the famous TV show Anupamaa.

Indu, played by Satish Shah, is the most endearing character in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. He was the one who pulled pranks and spread rumours. His infantile antics captured nearly every viewer's heart. His snarky mocks and remarks made him a favourite in practically every home. Satish Shah played a playful husband, father, and father-in-law to perfection. His infectious grin used to steal the show. Satish is a seasoned actor who has been in various TV shows and films. He worked in Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Main Hoon Na, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, and Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi.

Sahil, Maya's eldest son, and a cosmetic surgeon, was the rational one in the family. Sumeet's character, Sahil, is gentle, smart, and devoted to his family. Sahil was always wedged between Maya and Monisha, and he usually lost. But his brother Rosesh, enjoyed making fun of Sahil with Indravadan. Sumeet also starred in 'Badi Dooooor Se Aye Hai' as an alien. The actor is now starring in the popular television show Wagle Ki Duniya - Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey.

Rosesh Sarabhai was smart, entertaining, and unique. Rosesh, played by Rajesh Kumar, remains the most unusual and famous character of the 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai' series. Rosesh Sarabhai was Maya and Indravardhan Sarabhai's second son. Rosesh, Momma's boy, preferred to write poems that no one wanted to hear. He continued to appear in absurd plays, playing weirdly humorous characters. Rosesh or Rajesh's infantile way of saying ' momma' was one of the show's selling points. Rosesh's no-nonsense poetry was influenced by his father and has a 'oink' tone to it. His poetry book is still much regarded!

Dushyant, played by Deven Bhojani, was Maya's son-in-law, married to her daughter Sonya. His appearances on the show exceeded more than those of his wife. Deven was also one of the show's funniest characters. Dushyant used to cause havoc by repeating information about electrical brands and their technical specifics when the entire family sat down to discuss important concerns. This used to make us all laugh, and it became his selling point. Dushyant is not only a fantastic performer, but also a director and producer. Deven also directed the show 'Sumit Sambhal Lega'. He has been working on Wagle Ki Duniya - Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey which reunited him with Sumeet Raghavan.

Madhusudan aka Arvind was Indravadan's sister Ilaben's husband. He had hearing problems, which made his personality amusing. He refused to acknowledge his problem and always criticized people for speaking softly. His constant misinterpretations left the viewers amused.
