Nach Baliye 9: Kasautii Zindagii Kay's Pooja Banerjee gets severely injured; a look at contestants who got hurt on the sets

This season’s Nach Baliye 9 has been quite injurious. With jodis trying their best to give a Hi-5 performance, many at times they fell on the wrong foot and got injured. Recently, Kasautii Zindagii Kay fame Pooja Banerjee got hospitalised due to severe injuries. She also had to opt out of the show. But she is not the only one. Many celebrities have got injured this season, either during rehearsals or during the act. Take a look.

Pooja Banerjee revealed that during the practice session she had hurt her toe and back badly. Speaking exclusively to TimesofIndia.com, Pooja said, “Thankfully we were wearing sneakers but I had to perform with a badly injured toe. The harness had hit my back badly.” Latest, we have learnt, the actress has once again hurt herself badly and ended up in the hospital. Speaking about the same, her husband Sandeep told BT, “Pooja had to stand on my shoulders and fall back, with our choreographer catching her. However, she slipped, lost her balance and fell in the front from above 10 feet from the ground. She landed on her hands. The impact was such that she hurt both her hands — the joint of her right wrist is fractured, while the left elbow bone is chipped. Pooja has also sprained a ligament in her left leg. She is in a cast and the doctors are waiting for the swelling to subside before they perform the surgery, which is scheduled to take place today. Urvashi met with an unfortunate accident on the sets of the show. Urvashi hurt her hand during the rehearsals, as a moving trolley passed over her. She even posted the video on Instagram and wrote that things seen on TV might look glamorous but in reality, people go through a lot of pain for their performances. Shraddha Arya had a very close shave while performing her act. The actress almost suffered a grievous injury. While performing a particular step, her partner Alam lost his grip momentarily which resulted in Shraddha slipping from his arms and bumping her head on the dance floor. Shantanu Maheshwari’s partner Nityaami injured her leg even before starting their nach journey. It was during the Nach rehearsals and since then Nityaami has been performing with an injured knee.
