Krushna Abhishek recalls his controversial elimination from Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa: Govinda mama was the guest and they evicted me from the show in front of him

Krushna Abhishek and Kashmera Shah have been among the industry's most adored couples. The duo witnessed a lot of ups and downs when they decided to shift their careers to TV. Talking about their struggles in reality shows like Comedy Circus, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and so on, Kashmera and Krushna shared some intriguing insights in Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa's podcast.

Krushna's father had signed three Bhojpuri films, and Kashmera was the one to take up the initiative to convince Krushna to try his luck in TV, quitting the Bhojpuri Industry. She even convinced Krushna's father to make him explore his career in TV. She had told him that Krushna had signed a contract of TV shows and later pushed him to do Comedy Circus.

After Nach Baliye, Vipul D Shah came with a new show Comedy Circus and came to sign Krushna for the show. However, Krushna was sceptical about the show and feared elimination. But Kashmera convinced him to do the show and took his guarantee that he would become the biggest star on the show and he would nail stand-up comedy. Krushna shared that he wasn't someone who did standup comedy but this turned into a game changer for his career and he ventured into comedy completely with the show.

Krushna recalled how his accidental pairing with Sudesh Lahri turned out to be a great success. After 5 episodes, I told Sudesh ji that today they will remove us so aaj jo mann mein aaye woh karna. So I took a chunni and started an act, everything was improvisation. Shekhar Suman then complimented me and lauded my performance. I was the first one to do musical comedy. Since then it has been a great success.

In Jhalak, when they were going to eliminate me, the same day Govinda Mama had come to the show, Madhuri Ji was there and Remo was there. I am a dancer and my competitor was Ragini, my cousin. My season had Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput. They had planned my elimination in front of my mama. The hosts were Sumeet Raghavan and Mona Singh, so when they announced, I looked at Chichi mama and he also got confused, aise kaise.

Chichi mama's stardom is soo huge, that he wouldn't yell on the show or fight. And he thought it was just a show, it wouldn't affect me. Ragini was seeing me from the balcony, I was just shocked. Madhuri ji then requested for a break. And I was extremely upset. Someone from my staff called Kashmera to inform about my elimination.

Soon after they resumed the break and Mona was about to begin, the shoot was on and I saw Kashmera coming from the backstage. She came and snatched the mic from Mona's hand and said, 'Sony walon, galat kaam kiya hai tumne.' Mama was sitting in front of us and she yelled at everyone, 'ab aana tum comedy circus ke liye.' She held my hand and took me to the car leaving the set. I was really scared, but Kashmera had full confidence in my talent.
