Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan's Krissann Barretto on motherhood: I have never held a newborn baby (Exclusive)
Actor Krissann Barretto, known for her work in shows like Sasural Simar Ka, Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan and several reality appearances, is stepping into a new role of motherhood. The actor is pregnant and due in May.
Krissann tells Mumbai Mirror, “It feels magical I can’t believe I’m growing a life. This is a miracle and I am so grateful every day."
Krissann got married to US based Nathan Karamchandani in October 2023. The actor also credits her partner for being a constant support through the pregnancy. “He’s really a blessing. He has come with me for every appointment. He knows more about everything he has a proper list of questions to ask the doctor. He has come for all classes with me - right from breast feeding to every class. I am being super pampered. We have our Godh bharai in Chicago next week."
The couple is currently preparing to welcome their baby in a few months. “The baby is due in May,” she reveals.
Pregnancy, she admits, has already changed her in unexpected ways. “I definitely have changed. I used to not find babies cute but now I think they are all adorable. I’ve never held a new born baby. Mine will be the first. can’t wait," she adds.
The actress moved to US last year. Ask her if this means she has quit acting and she clarifies, “I have not quit acting. Just a little break to focus on this new chapter. But I will be back. I will keep coming to India for projects. I am still in touch with everyone in the industry and can’t wait to be back and do some killer work."
