Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma recently revealed they were scammed out of a huge amount of money. In a vlog shared on their YouTube channel, Puja opened up about the financial difficulties they’ve been facing. Over the years, several celebrities including Gurucharan Singh, Charu Asopa, and others have spoken about their financial struggles. Here’s a look:

Charu recently shifted her base from Mumbai to Bikaner. The actress bought a beautiful house in the city, where she now lives with her daughter. While talking about the initial days and taking loans to secure the house, she revealed the financial challenges she faced.

The actress said, “I took debt from someone to book this house as my loan was still processing, and I didn’t want to let go of this house. When Ziana entered this house, she said, ‘Wow ye ghar kitna sundar hai,’ and I knew this is exactly what I want to get.”

Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma recently shared a vlog on their YouTube channel, where they mentioned being scammed and losing a significant amount of money. “We are talking about this today because during Eid, I had posted a video on my Instagram handle after which we have been receiving a lot of calls to know what has happened. So we want to share it with you all. These past 2–3 months have been extremely difficult for us, and we have no idea what will happen next. Chahat Pandey, who won many hearts with her time on Bigg Boss 18, shared her experience of delayed payments while working on one of her TV shows. In an interview, the actress revealed she had only been paid for one month’s work, while the remaining dues were never cleared.

Chahat said, “Whatever savings I had from my previous shows I exhausted while working on Hamari Bahu Silk. During that time, I kept asking the producers to give my hard-earned money but they kept saying that the channel had not paid them. Things got out of hand for me as I had no money. I had to pay rent for my house. The landlord kept asking me for money and I didn’t have any. How long can anyone wait for their money? Ultimately, the landlord asked me to either give him his money or vacate the place. I had no other option, I went to one of the producer’s offices and cried in front of him. I wept as I was feeling helpless. I pleaded in front of him to give my money, but he did not pay any heed to my request.”

Palak Sindhwani, best known for her role as Sonu in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, once shared how her journey in the industry began with financial hardships.

Talking about her experience, Palak said, “I used to stay in PGs and have changed a lot of houses in Mumbai. I would change houses so that I could save ₹2000. Finally, we shifted to a 1BHK, then a 2BHK apartment, and now finally I am staying in a 3BHK apartment which is also on rent. I want to buy my own house and I am planning to see when it happens. My growth has been steady and I consider myself lucky that I’ve seen all the phases in my life.”

Kashish Kapoor faced extreme backlash after she chose ₹10 lakh over continuing her journey on Splitsvilla X5. After the show, she explained why the money meant so much to her, opening up about her financial background and clearing up misconceptions.

In an exclusive interview, she said, “I never said I’m poor. I just come from a lower middle-class family where we have seen tough situations. Digvijay wasn’t really very close to me and would have chosen Unnati over me for the finale if given a chance. I did what I had to do but I never claimed to be poor.”

Gurucharan Singh, best known for his role as Roshan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, made headlines after he went missing last year. Upon returning to Mumbai in July following a brief disappearance in April, he shared his financial struggles during a podcast appearance.

Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Singh said, “I have been in Mumbai for a month looking for work. I think people love me and they want to see me. I also want to earn money to manage my expenses, take care of my mother and pay off my debts. I want to get some good work and start my second innings. I need money because I have EMI and credit card payments. I still have to ask for money and there are some good people who lend me money but my debt is accumulating.”
