From getting expelled from the house to her sisterly bond with Soundarya Sharma: A look at Archana Gautam's journey in Bigg Boss 16

Archana Gautam has been one of the fierce contestants in the Bigg Boss 16 house and has won many people’s hearts with her funny and outgoing personality. Apart from making friends Archana also made a lot of enemies which caused her trouble during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode with Salman Khan. In this season, Archana was the only contestant who was expelled for her arrogant behaviour towards the housemates.

After a rollercoaster journey, Archana has finally reached the top 5 finale week. Therefore, let’s take a look at her journey inside the Bigg Boss 16 house:

During the premiere day of the show, Archana was seen talking about becoming the next Salman Khan when it comes to getting married. The actress revealed all that she was taking inside the Bigg Boss house. She had taken her silbatta as she couldn't stay without having her handmade chutney. Salman Khan later introduced Gautam Vig as Hrithik Roshan of television and they both had a fun banter while she got a chance to recreate her dream moment with Gautam before entering the house.

Archana was reprimanded by Salman Khan time and again for many things. She was called out for being rude to everyone and also calling Sumbul Touqeer ugly. Salman had explained to Archana multiple times to behave in a decent manner and not use foul words for anyone's colour, character, work or parents. Salman had also slammed her for fighting with Shiv and was also warned before she re-entered the house.

Everything started when Archana commented on MC Stan being saved inside the house only because of his fans. Archana began using some derogatory words in the house which questioned her integrity in front of everyone. She did not just fight with MC Stan but also spoke about Tina Datta and Shalin Bhanot’s relationship in the house. She told MC Stan “Ye kab tak janta ki khairat me save hota rahega”.

She further spoke about Shalin and Tina's friendship “aisi kesi dosti hai Teri or Shalin ki Jo tum ittna close aajate ho. Tu or Soundarya bhi toh ek dusre ko hug karte hai.. does that mean something”

This was one of the unexpected things for all the contestants when Bigg Boss fired Shiv Thakare from captaincy and made Archana Gautam the next captain of the house as a punishment. Archana was elated but later realised how problematic would it get for her when Bigg Boss said “I am giving the charge of captaincy to the most mischievous contestant in the house. It is an open challenge for you. Let’s see how you handle the contestants. Just remember, all the housemates will be against you to break rules. I really want to see how you tackle it.”

After Archana had re-entered the house, it was Priyanka and Ankit, who welcomed her with open arms and extended a hand for friendship. In the episode, we had seen both Ankit and Priyanka getting happy when she came back into the house. Their friendship had gone through ups and downs. The trio went their separate ways when they had a big fight in the house and would taunt one another. Archana was the one who was somewhere responsible for Ankit's eviction from the house to see how Priyanka would play alone. Now both Archana and Priyanka are in the top 5 finales and have been supporting each other.

Archana was expelled from the show after her physical fight with Shiv Thakare. While having a fight with other housemates, Shiv meddled in and provoked Archana by taking her political party and associate's name due to which she ended up choking Shiv. This got her expelled from the house at that very moment. However, in the Weekend Ka Vaar Salman Khan confronted Shiv and revealed that he was equally responsible for the fight and got her back.

We have seen many people getting close as friends and of them, in Bigg Boss 16 were Archana Gautam and Soundarya Sharma. Both of them were always there for each other and even though they fought sometimes they always had one another's back. When Soundarya was evicted Archana couldn’t stop crying and shared that they had a bond like sisters.

Archana who has been one of the top 5 contestants in the finale is called the entertainment of the house and that’s the reason everyone in the house and outside loves her. Archana is also known for her spontaneous and funny personality. Bigg Boss and Salman Khan have also called her the most entertaining person in the house.

One of the last tasks in the house was the torture task to bring back their lost amount from the winning prize. During the task first Archana, Priyanka and Shalin stood holding the buzzer and despite all the torture by Shiv, Nimrit and Stan they won the cash prize. The next day, Archana made sure the mandali had a payback time and she tortured them with Chilli powder, Turmeric powder, stale fish and what not. Due to her rage in the task, Bigg Boss had to stop the task midway and held them responsible for hurting Shiv, Nimrit and Stan with the bucket and even throwing washing powder in their eyes.
