From Chunky Pandey getting Rs 50,000 to attend a party to Shakti Kapoor charging 2 dollars for a selfie; hilarious moments from The Great Indian Kapil Show

The latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show brought a laughter riot with Bollywood legends Chunky Pandey, Shakti Kapoor, and Govinda as guests. From Chunky sharing how he earned ₹50,000 to attend a party to Shakti’s quirky $2 selfie story, the stars shared hilarious anecdotes, including Chunky’s journey to his first film, leaving fans thoroughly entertained.

Seeing Shakti Kapoor’s energy, Kapil Sharma says, “Shilajit ka omlette khaake aye hai.” Shakti said that he wasn’t keeping well a few days back and wondering if he would be able to attend the show. He shared that Kapil gave him the confidence to come.

Chunky shared, “The most difficult scenes are acting dead scenes. When actors die on-screen and seeing it on-screen, it is very scary. I did a scene where I was in Pran Sir’s arms and I was dying. I asked him after the shot how was my acting. He tells me, ‘Chunky, tune kamaal ka dead scene kia. Specially, marne ke baad bahut badhiya acting kia.’”

“More than dead scenes, I am scared of romantic scenes. And Govinda is the best romantic hero on screen,” he says and Govinda reacts, “Wow, someone is praising me. Good.” Chunky added, “Whatever I am is because of Govinda. I got my first film due to Govinda, because he had date issues.”

Chunky revealed, “Once I got paid Rs 50,000 to attend a party. Today it is equivalent to Rs 50 lakh. Shakti ji took me to the party and made me meet every producer and told them I was a big upcoming hero. He put hands in their pockets and took out money and gave it to me. I signed at least 10 films that day. But 9 took back their money. I did do one film.”

Shakti Kapoor narrated, “He once took Salman to a shop saying there are very good clothes. Salman went and he got many clothes and then the owners didn’t take money from him. But when Salman left, they offered money to Chunky because that was their deal – to get Salman to their shop.” Chunky responded saying that he shared the money 50-50 with Salman.

Archana Puran Singh added, “Once we were shooting abroad and some people approached us wanting to click pictures. Shakti said, if they pay 2 dollars he will click the pic. They clicked pics and paid him 2 dollars as well.” Shakti replied, “Who will understand the importance of 2 dollars in those days?

While Chunky Panday and Kapil Sharma tease Archana regarding her age, she comes to the stage to hit them. Then she hugged Shakti and called him her ‘best buddy’. Shakti says, “Dekho kitni khubsurat lag rahi hai.”
