From a countdown of thoughtful gifts from husband Shoaib's father to her in-laws breaking down into tears: Dipika Kakar shares a glimpse of her emotional birthday celebrations

Dipika Kakar went through a difficult time a few months ago after she was diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. However, after going through a 14 hours long surgery, the actress is currently on a path to recovery. The Sasural Simar Ka actress recently turned a year older on August 6th and her family made sure to make her birthday a special and memorable one. Dipika started the vlog by showing her father-in-law’s sweet gesture. He delighted Dipika by showering gifts as a countdown to her birthday. In her vlog, Dipika shared his thoughtful gesture and how it made her birthday extra special. He gifted her a Armani t-shirt and Dipika got excited opening the packet. Dipika’s father-in-law continued surprising her with gifts. Next in the video Dipika showed another gift from him, he again wrote a small note for him and asked her to him on his Whatsapp. In a touching moment, the actress shared that his father had put a photo of them as his display picture. Surprises for Dipika did not stop as Shoaib’s father gifted a gold watch accessory a charm. Dipika unboxed the packet and was happy to see it. She even complimented him that he got all the trendy stuff for her as gifts. She showed it to the camera and mentioned that she will wear it on the watch.The Kahaan Tum Kahaan Hum actress was next gifted an emotional letter and a drawing of a tree by her father-in-law. Dipika sat beside him and started to read the letter. She read, “Dear Dipika, preserve this tree of life charm always with you whenever you feel upset, sad or low in life, just look at it (she started crying while reading the letter) please always remember you are not just the soul of our family but you are also our pride. You are the root of the Ibrahim family, jis par hum sab khade hain.” As soon as Dipika finished reading the letter her father and mother-in-law both broke down into tears. (Photo: Instagram)

Dipika hugged her father-in-law and consoled him. She wiped her own tears and also missed her mother-in-law. As everyone got emotional, Shoaib took the responsibility of reading the letter further. He read, “Tum nahi toh hum kuch bhi nahi aur haan hum humesha iss tree ki taraf tumhare saath strong khade rahenge bina hille bina toote. Dipika couldn’t hold back her tears and mentions that moments like these make her feel how lucky she is in life. She calls herself the richest person in the whole world for having a family like this. Dipika wanted to keep her birthday a very simple and quiet affair. Instead of hiring decorators to decorate the house on her birthday, she requested Shoaib’s sister Reza to decorate the house. Finally, it was time to cut the cake and the family got a beautiful blue cake for Dipika. The entire family gathered for the cake cutting. She wore the same dress which was gifted to her by her father-in-law. Dipika looked pretty and before the cake cutting, the actress posed for a photo session.
