Falling in love with Varun Sood to not being friends with ex Priyank Sharma: Ace Of Space winner Divya Agarwal's shocking revelations

Divya Agarwal, who caught everyone's attention by talking about her break-up with Priyank Sharma on national television, emerged as the winner of Ace Of Space. The TV hottie is on cloud nine after the victory. In an exclusive conversation with the TimesofIndia.com, Divya opened up about her journey and relationship with Varun Sood. She also stated that she isn't friends with ex-boyfriend, Priyank Sharma. (Photo: Instagram)

On winning Ace Of Space

I am on top of the world after winning the show. I am so happy that I am the first winner of Ace Of Space. First winners are always remembered. My lovely mentor, Rannvijay Singh, won the first season and he is still remembered for it. Similarly for me, it is a proud moment. (Photo: Instagram)

On her journey

It was a very difficult journey. I spent more than 70 days in the house and believe me, it has been once in a lifetime experience. I have done reality shows before, but I think we had the best talent under one roof. (Photo: Instagram)

Varun Sood and my relationship is not a publicity gimmick

Varun and I have not come together for a reality show. It is not a publicity gimmick. I knew him beforehand, but after staying with him in the show, I felt we could be together forever. The pressurizing situations inside the house made us realize that we cannot stay without each other. We were friends and then the relationship changed. I think being in love is the best feeling and every girl should experience it. (Photo: Instagram)

Glad that I broke-up with Priyank Sharma

I am glad that break-up with Priyank Sharma happened as it made me understand things better. I feel some people are not meant to be together but that doesn't mean they are bad. I would have never understood Varun's value in my life. Just because 'ek ladka galat hai iska matlab saare ladke galat hoye, aisa nahi hota...', nobody is bad. Varun and I have a great understanding. We have come out stronger as we have realized if we are together despite facing so many odds during the show, then we can survive anything. (Photo: Instagram)

Did not share about my break-up with Priyank for publicity

I generally shared about my break-up with no ill intentions. I was asked about my life's experience and while talking about it, I discussed my break-up. It happened with me, so why will I not talk about it? I was not using Priyank's name for publicity. It was a break-up between a girl and a boy, and it's just that we both are public figures. When I was told about his open letter, I had a very disturbing time. I don't want to do such things to gain publicity, I have worked in the industry and have several other ways to stay in the news. I want to be known for my work and not for being Priyank Sharma's ex. Where ever I am today is because of my hard work and not my relationship. (Photo: Instagram)

Was never interested in reading Priyank's open letter

I shared whatever happened with me. I did not make up stories. I was given an option to either receive my family's gift or read the letter, but I chose the first. Had I wanted to gain publicity, I could have easily chosen the latter since I know our popularity. But Vikas gave me the chance of reading the letter. I was never interested in reading it. I did not care about the outside world. I am a very transparent person. I have been open about those I love and hate. (Photo: Instagram)

Exes can't be friends

We never patched-up. It was just a co-incidence that we arrived together at Prince and Yuvika's wedding. At the wedding, too, we did not interact much. In fact, we did not even speak. I don't believe in exes being friends, especially if the relationship has ended on a sour note. How can you be friends with someone who has hurt your mind and heart both?! (Photo: Instagram)

Family's reaction to her win

My family is super happy and proud of me. We all were good and everyone had the winner quality and anybody could have been the winner. But they are happy that my name was declared. (Photo: Instagram)

On her equation with Chetna Pande

She is a lovely girl and we are amazing together. I have always misunderstood her, but I am happy that I spent some time in the house with her. I got to know her better then. She handled the situation maturely when she learnt about the feelings Varun and I had for each other. I am happy that we have a better equation now. (Photo: Instagram)

On Danish Zehan's death

It was very disturbing when we got to know about Danish Zehan's death. He stayed with us and was one of the contestants so it was very difficult for me to believe that we will not get to meet him again now. We just couldn't digest the truth. We had a great time with him. The whole vibe of the house changed after it, as we all realised that life is too short to fight over petty things. We just pray that he is happy, wherever he is. Thankfully, none of us had told him anything hurtful otherwise it would have been difficult to live with that guilt. (Photo: Instagram)

Prize money

Varun and I had initially decided to divide the prize the money between ourselves if we win, but now I am little skeptical (laughs). I won't remind him till the time he doesn't ask me himself. (Photo: Instagram)

No more reality shows

I don't want to be part of Bigg Boss. I think I have done enough of reality shows. I would love to be part of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa if offered, but other than that no more reality shows for me. I want to break the monotony of doing reality shows. (Photo: Instagram).
