Surekha Sikri passed away in Mumbai at the age of 75 due to cardiac arrest. The National Award winning actress is known not just for her exceptional work in films but also television. Banegi Apni Baat

Surekha Sikri played the role of Radha in Banegi Apni Baat. Her natural portrayal of the character in the show, that dealt with college life, brought her fame. The show aired from 1993 to 1997.

Just Mohabbat

In Just Mohabbat, the actress played the part of Mrs Pandit. It centred around the life of Jai and his experiences of first crush, heartbreak and more while growing-up. The show aired from 1996-2000.

Balika Vadhu

Surekha Sikri played Kalyani Devi Dharamveer Singh in the television show, Balika Vadhu (2008 to 2016). She made a place in the hearts of the viewers by portraying the role of a firm yet loving grandmother (Dadisaa). The daily soap led to a further increase of her popularity on the small screen.

Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani

Surekha Sikri impressed the audience when she played the powerful role of Badi Rani Maa Bhagyavanti Singh Deo (Dakini) in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani. It ran for three seasons from 2015 to 2017.

Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar

In Saat Phere, Surekha played the role of Bhabho, Saloni and Tara's mother-in-law, and Brijesh, Aditi, Nahar and Piya's mother. The show had a successful run of three years.

In the television show Kesar, Surekha Sikri was seen as Saroj Dharam Maliya. The daily soap that ran from 2004 to 2007 centered around the life of a young girl, Kesar. It was produced by Balaji Telefilms.

Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil

Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, which starred Drashti Dhami and Vivian Dsena, saw Surekha Sikri playing the role of Indumati Lala Mehra (grandmother). It ran for a year.
