Arjun Bijlani calls for collective action to fight environmental challenges
On the occasion of World Environment Day, television actor Arjun Bijlani has highlighted the urgent need to address growing environmental challenges.
Speaking to IANS, he reflected on issues such as climate change, plastic pollution, deforestation, water scarcity, and waste management. Arjun emphasized that meaningful change begins with individual responsibility. “The biggest problem is that we often think environmental issues are someone else's responsibility. In reality, every person has a role to play. If each one of us becomes more conscious of our actions, we can create a significant impact.”
The ‘Ishq Mein Marjawan’ actor also shared the eco-friendly habits he follows in his daily life. “I make sure to switch off lights, fans, and air conditioners when they are not in use. I avoid wasting water, ensure taps are properly closed, and try to minimize the use of plastic bags. These may seem like small habits, but when adopted by millions, they can make a huge difference.”
Reflecting on the future, Arjun expressed concern about what the world could look like by 2050 if pollution continues unchecked. He warned of worsening air quality, extreme weather conditions, shrinking natural resources, and increasing health concerns for future generations. “Awareness is growing, and people are slowly realizing the urgency of taking action. I believe there is still time to make a positive change,” he further explained.
Arjun Bijlani concluded by saying, “Don't wait for someone else to make a difference. Save water, reduce waste, plant more trees, and be mindful of your everyday choices. Let's make environmental responsibility a part of our daily lives and leave behind a cleaner, greener planet for future generations.”
Work-wise, Arjun Bijlani is widely known for his roles in shows such as "Left Right Left,” “Miley Jab Hum Tum,” “Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi,” "Naagin," and “Ishq Mein Marjawan.”
