Michael Keating is one of the most iconic TV stars in the British entertainment industry. The actor appeared in many TV shows over the course of his career. No matter how big or small, he always gave it his all in every character he took on, and was known for his chemistry with his fellow actors. Here are some of his most loved roles over the years.

'Blake 7'

Perhaps one of his most iconic roles of all time, ‘Blake 7’ was a very popular sci-fi series that aired from 1978 to 1981. Considered ahead of its time, the series ran for 4 seasons and had 52 episodes in total. Keating was specifically known for his role as Vila Restal, the cowardly yet talented thief, lock-picker, and conjurer. His character on the show was well-loved despite the negative aspects attached to the fictional role, and he was also one of the only cast members to appear in every single episode from start to finish.

3/6

'Doctor Who'

This franchise has been going on for decades now, and to this date, is a popular binge-watch for many. Keating played the role of Goudry in 1977. He appeared specifically in the fourth episode of the 15th season, which was aired on TV in four parts. He co-starred with Tom Blake, who played the Fourth Doctor for the season. This serial was set on Pluto and followed the Doctor and his companions as they tried to start a revolution among the humans against an alien agency.

4/6

'Eastenders'

This is one of the longest-running British soap operas, and to date, it is well-loved by the audience. Keating appeared in over 54 roles and appeared in the role of Reverend George Stevens. He first starred in the series from 2005 to 2013, and later again joined the show from 2015 to 2017. The premise of the show is set around Albert Square and follows the life stories of the residents of the area, and how they deal with their struggles and relationships, and how they manage their everyday lives.

5/6

'Casualty'

While he only appeared in one episode of this TV series, it is still one of his notable roles over the years. He appeared in two roles in the show. In 1995, he took on the role of Graham Wingate, and in 2000, he appeared as Pat Sadler. The show is one of the most popular medical dramas in Britain and has been running since September 6, 1986. The story heavily centers around Holby City Hospital, its emergency ward, and how the doctors and nurses manage things in the high-stakes environment.

6/6

'The Bill'

Keating appeared in one episode of ‘The Bill’, a British police procedural television series that ran from October 16, 1984, to August 31, 2010.
