The incidents of artists being brutally trolled or harassed on social media have been increasing. Many artists have opened up on facing horrific incidents that they have faced on social media platforms including body-shaming, personal attacks, hate messages to threats. Actress Rupanjana Mitra recently faced such an incident when a man, who claimed to be working for a client, asked the actress how much she ‘charges for a meeting’. The popular actress was in crude shock when she received a message on social from a man named Mrinmoy. Initially, the conversation appeared to be a formal one where, the man asking whether Rupanjana is free to talk since he wants to ‘fix a meeting’ on behalf of ‘his client’. Soon, the conversation took a different turn and the actress was asked about her ‘charge for the meeting’.
