The organisation ranked 173 cities on various significant factors, such as education, environment, stability, infrastructure and health care. Vienna stood out in terms of infrastructure, culture and entertainment along with education and healthcare.
Well, it’s not the first time that Vienna has won this title. It has been voted the most liveable city a number of times over the years. Second on the list is Denmark’s Copenhagen, closely followed by Australia’s Melbourne and Sydney (third and fourth position, respectively).

Decline in stability this year
This year, a marginal decline in stability was noticed. Barsali Bhattacharyya, Industry Research Manager, EIU said, “Of the five categories covered by our index, only stability has seen a decline”. He further said that strains on public order and economic headwinds have also increased instances of crime in some cities.So its high time!
