From today onward, those travelling to Hawaii will be required to fill out a mandatory application from ahead of their departure. Reportedly, Safe Travels software application is set to become mandatory that will ask travelers to Hawaii fill out health and travel information before boarding their flight. This rule comes into effect from today, i.e., September 1. Read less
As per the procedure, after one input all the required information in the application, after which he will be provided with a QR code. The said code will then be scanned at the airport upon arrival that will further enable them to access Hawaii.
The application will take in all travel related information, including reason for travel and flight number. A health questionnaire will be made available 24 hours before the flight departs, which will require travellers to disclose everything relating to their health status, including their recent travel history, and whether or not they have experienced any COVID-19 symptoms.
Apart from this, a mandatory 14-day quarantine remains into effect for outsiders in an attempt to contain the spread of Coronavirus spread. State officials including police will be accessing information submitted to the Safe Travels app to check on visitors, who are required to quarantine upon arrival.
