The Golden Chariot
The Golden Chariot will take you on a ride along the Southern State of Karnataka, while travelling like royals on wheels. You can opt for a package that covers six nights and seven days or the one that goes on for three nights and four days. Your journey will start from Bengaluru, and will cover popular tourist hotspots like Goa, Hampi, and Mysore to name a few.
Fare: Depending on the package you opt for, you will have to shell out between 3 lakhs to 6 lakhs.
Palace on wheels
This popular luxury train is known for offering unmatched travel experience, and for being an epitome of luxury among all Indian trains. It’s interesting to note that Palace on Wheels has set the benchmark for luxury train travel in India that even after almost 35 years post its official launch on the tracks, it still holds a coveted place in the list of world’s best luxury trains.
Fares: It might go up to more than 5 lakhs to 10 lakhs, depending on the package you opt for.
The Deccan Odyssey
This train journey will take you across Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Gujarat. You can opt for packages based on what state you want to see, which are available for seven nights and eight days. What makes this train stand out is its distinct royal blue colour. The coaches are done up with personalised amenities and cosy furniture, whereas the interiors showcase a particular era of the Deccan milieu.
Fares: It will be more than 5 lakhs to around 12 lakhs, depending on the package you opt for.
Maharajas’ Express
This luxurious train defines pure luxury travel. It’s one of India’s expensive luxury trains that comes with a large dining, bar, generator, lounge, LCD TVs, direct dial phone, individual temperature controls, internet, large windows, and suite bathroom, which means you will never miss even a moment of sightseeing.
It travels from Delhi and takes you through destinations like Varanasi, Agra, Jaipur, Ranthambore, Jaipur, and even Mumbai.
Fares: Maharajas’ Express packages can cost you more than 2 lakh, and can go up to more than 18 lakhs.
Royal Orient Train
Be ready for a delightful experience when you embark on a royal journey by the Royal Orient Train. You will be travelling to famous tourist destinations, in palatial-style comfortable cabins, where well-trained hospitality professionals will make sure that you have a remarkable experience onboard. Then there is this multi-cuisine restaurant, spacious baths, a library, and almost all facilities that you can ask for.
Fares: it will cost you around 98000 to more than 150000, depending on the package you opt for.
