Since 1999, the Chiang Mai Ayurvedic Center has been dedicated to treating locals and foreigners with centuries-old Ayurvedic practices designed to leave people lighter, brighter and healthier. Located in a small, unassuming building in the middle of Chiang Mai’s Old City, the center combines traditional Ayurvedic treatments, including Abhyanga, Shirodhara and Udvartanam with modern detoxing practices including colonics, ozone therapy, ion foot spa, and infrared saunas. Before any single or series of treatments, you’ll fill out information about yourself determining what your dominant dosha, or constitutional energetic force is so that treatments can be matched up correctly with what your body and energy needs. While you can simply pop in for a single therapy, such as the hypnotising Shirodhara treatment where warm, medicated oils are slowing and constantly poured over your forehead lulling you into a deep relaxation, take a look at the packages of treatments that are designed better balance your body and rid it of its toxins. One-day mini packages, including three to five various treatments start at just over $50 USD. Several traditional Thai massages are also available upon request.
