Thaliyar Falls
Falling from a height of 975 ft, Thalaiyar Falls is simply breathtaking! The waterfall is in Palani Hills of Dindigul district and is one of the highest waterfalls of Tamil Nadu. It is also famous as Rat Tail Falls.
Tirparappu Waterfalls
Situated in Kanyakumari, Thirparappu Waterfalls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the state. Falling from a height of 50 ft, the falls features a swimming pool where people can enjoy. There’s also a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva too.
Monkey Falls
Monkey Falls is in the Anaimalai Hills range of Coimbatore. Being a prominent tourist spot in the region, the falls remain crowded with tourists in the peak season. The whole region is surrounded by evergreen forests and rocky cliffs.
Hogenakkal Falls
Another stunning waterfall in Tamil Nadu is Hogenakkal Falls. It is also referred to as the Niagara Falls of India due to its height and beauty. The falls is on the Kaveri river in the Dharmapuri district. People often come here to take a dip in the water of falls as it is said to have medicinal properties.
Courtallam Falls
Created by the Chittar River on the Western Ghats, Courtallam Falls in Tirunelveli is a sight to behold. The falls, along with Kalakkad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve and Papanasanathar Temple of Lord Shiva, are the must-visit attractions here.
