Set within the Purani Haveli, a heritage building which was originally the erstwhile palace of the Nizams of Hyderabad, the Nizam Museum is a museum a traveller just can’t miss out on when he is in the city. This is because no other museum in the city can showcase the historical significance of this place in a more deeper way than this one. The museum is famous for its collection of items that once served as gifts that the last Nizam of Hyderabad state, Osman Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VII received on his silver jubilee celebrations. Apart from this, the other exhibits of the museum include souvenirs and mementos belonging to the erstwhile Nizams who once ruled this city.
