For those who love delving into the history and museums, London is probably one of the best cities. The Victorian city is dotted with national museums, local museums and a variety of specialised museums. The city is in fact home to more than 170 museums! Today let’s have a look at some of the must-visit museums in the city.
Science Museum
The museum was founded in 1857 and is spread across seven floors of the building. As you enter the museum, you’ll be welcome by the sight of shiny machines. Some of the star attractions here are a 16th-century artificial arm and a Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet.
National Maritime Museum
A part of Royal Museums, Greenwich, this is the place for all those who love the sea and ocean! The museum is a treasure trove of maps, art and memorabilia and everything related to water. Visit the museum to witness nearly 2.5 million mind blowing items.
Museum of London
To get an insight into the culture and history of this Victorian city, one must visit the Museum of London which houses original artefacts discovered during the archaeological digs across the city.
Natural History Museum
This amazing museum offers nature-based information. Kids would simply love it as here they can see animatronic dinosaurs, a model of a foetus and a giant sequoia tree among others.
British Museum
