Birla Planetarium, Kolkata
Birla Planetarium in Kolkata is the largest planetarium in Asia and second largest in the world! It is among the most famous planetariums of India. The circular-shaped building is designed like a Buddhist Stupa. There are three Birla Planetariums in India, the other two are at Chennai and Hyderabad. Apart from interesting shows, there is an astronomy gallery and laboratory.
Nehru Planetarium, Mumbai
Another most popular planetarium in India is the Nehru Planetarium. This huge dome-shaped theatre is a popular tourist attraction of Mumbai. Set in the Worli region of Mumbai, the planetarium is a hub of astronomical education and entertainment.
Ahmedabad Planetarium, Ahmedabad
Set inside Gujarat Science City, the planetarium showcases a range of science concepts. The place is a must visit in Ahmedabad as it’s quite interesting. The place has some mind blowing exhibits including Planet Earth and Hall of Space, among others.
Birla Planetarium, Chennai
