Another architectural marvel from the Mughal era, Humayun’s Tomb was built in the 16th century. It was the first garden-tomb in India. People from all over the world visit the place to witness its beauty.

It used to be the seat of Maharajas of Mysore. The most historic and grand palace in Karnataka, Mysore Palace is noted for its Indo-Saracenic architecture. The palace was built between 1897 and 1912.

The list won’t be complete without the mention of Hawa Mahal. This is one spectacular piece of Rajputana architecture dating back to the royal time. The place was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799.

The white marble beauty and an epitome of love, the Taj Mahal is known by many names! One of the greatest monuments in India and in the world, Taj Mahal is also one of the most visited places on Earth.

Noted as one of the oldest monuments in India, Sanchi Stupa will take you back in time to the golden phase of Mauryan empire. These are fine specimens of Buddhist architecture and are quite well preserved.

Another stunning and grand piece of work in India is the Buland Darwaza in Fatehpur Sikri. The historic place was constructed during the reign of Mughal emperor Akbar. Fatehpur Sikri served as the erstwhile capital of Akbar’s empire in 1641. This place is a window to the regal life of Akbar.

Red Fort in Delhi is one of the grandest structures in India noted for its Republic Day celebrations, every year on 26th January. Built by Shah Jahan, the fort gives an insight into the Mughal lifestyle and governance from the bygone era.

Victoria Memorial is gorgeous and grand! This UNESCO World Heritage Site was constructed between 1906 and 1921.
