Calling all adventure buffs out there! Winter time is for some outdoor fun. With some warm layers and a dash of adrenaline, this is how we are going to spend this winter. So off to the outdoors we go this winter. The snow covered hills and mountains, the frozen rivers, vast valleys covered in knee-deep snow, they all point towards one thing – winter treks.

Chadar Trek in Ladakh
Chadar Trek or the Zanskar Gorge trek is the famous walk across the frozen Zanskar River in Ladakh. It is one of the toughest treks there, as walking on frozen rivers is pretty risky as it is. So, be a good sport and follow the leader!
Goecha La Trek in Sikkim
Reach Yuksom for this trek, that’s where this trek starts from. You are in Kanchenjunga ranges, so do take a moment to take in the sights. The view is splendid and the trails difficult. Trek with care.
Nag Tibba Winter Trek in Uttarakhand
Who says winter treks can’t be for beginner and younger demography? Nag Tibba trek is an easy one that beginners (even children) can do, of course with proper supervision and guidance. For this, you’ll need to be in Pantwari in Dhanaulti.
Har ki Dun Trek in Uttarakhand
Located in Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand, Har ki Dun gets snowfall in December and January. But if you don’t want to hit peak winter, September to December is a great time period for exploring this route. This one’s also an easy trek.
Markha Valley Winter Trek in Ladakh
Moderate in nature, Markha Valley trek in winter is best for intermediate trekkers. You’ll be in Hemis National Park’s area so you can expect to see a lot of interesting wildlife. Keep an eye out for gorals or if you are extremely lucky, snow leopards. Walking across frozen rivers and trekking through villages is what’s in store for you. Spiti Village Treks in Himachal Pradesh
