Amer Fort, Rajasthan
Located in Rajasthan, the fort of Amer is a massive structure, just like how you imagine a royal fort to be. Built by Raja Man Singh, today it is one of the most popular destinations in the state. Situated on a hill top, the fort can be reached by riding elephants, just like the royals did it in the days of old. It is charming, beautiful, and resonates the beauty of India.
Meenakshi Temple, Madurai
An architectural wonder, the Meenakshi Temple in Madurai is an ancient Hindu temple. Dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi, a form of Parvati, the temple was built a long time ago as it finds mention in 6th century CE texts. A very important pilgrimage site, the temple has beautifully carved structures on its body.
Lamayuru Monastery, Leh
The eternal monastery located in India's Leh district is yet another incredibly beautiful place to visit. The Tibetan Buddhist monastery is one of the oldest in the country, and aganst the rugged landscape of Leh looks magnificent.
Varanasi Ghats
The city of Varanasi is one of the oldest in the country, and its ghats one of the most divine. It is here where you will find a spiritual side of the country, as numerous devotees come to take dips in the holy waters of River Ganges. Varanasi is also know as the place that frees you from the cycle of life and death if happen to die here.
Khajuraho Temples
Also known as the Khajuraho Group of Monuments, this is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built during the reign of the Chandela dynasty, the temples are widely known for its beautiful erotic carvings. The site had a total of 85 temples, but only 25 have survived.
