It is Western Canada’s largest outdoor family amusement park and doesn’t disappoint in terms of family-friendly rides, entertainment, games and more. The park has been operating since 1982 and everyone who lives in Calgary has visited here at least once or twice as kids. Fairly affordable, the park offers a one-pay gate system where families just pay once and get access to unlimited rides, street performances, parking and live shows. Some of the more family-friendly rides include the Dream Machine, where swings raise you high in the air, and the Rocky Mountain Railroad, a train ride that takes you through a man-made tunnel and around a lovely track. Thrill seekers, on the other hand, will love the Timber Falls ride, a new log ride where you are sure to get wet and feel the rush through twists, turns and drops. There are live shows and special events that happen throughout the year here. Those coming from outside the town can even choose to stay at the campground of the park which welcomes RVs and tents.
