Some of the beaches even have strict rules that tell you to stay away from the water. You will find this mostly in areas where water is choppy, the seafloor is rocky and dangerous and tides are usually very high.

Cavelossim Beach
Cavelossim is one of the most beautiful beaches of South Goa. It is not a crowded beach and is one of the cleanest beaches in Goa. Water here is calm and shallow, perfect for swimming.
Palolem Beach, Goa
The waters of Palolem Beach is one of the bluest you will see in Goa. No wonder, Palolem is among the few places in India where you can do scuba diving. So swim away to where the corals are the most vibrant!
Colva Beach, Goa

Muzhappilangad Beach, Kannur
Nothing but the best from one of the most unique beaches in India. The only drive-in beach in India, Muzhappilangad Beach is a 3.8 km long stretch, where you can drive around and the water here is clean, calm, shallow and perfect for swimming.
Kudle Beach, Gokarna
Kudle Beach is located very close to the Gokarna Main Beach. It is famous for being a clean beach. The water here is gentle and you can go swimming, in case you were wondering. But do keep in mind that the waves do get bigger sometimes. So swim and have fun, but be cautious too.
Small Hell Beach, Gokarna
What’s in a name! You can swim, trek and even do camping at the Small Hell Beach. How’s that for a beach holiday? The Small Hell Beach is one of the cleanest beaches in Gokarna.
Radhanagar Beach, Andamans
How can we not have any beaches from the Andamans on this list? We have Radhanagar Beach on Havelock Island, easily one of the most popular beaches in India. Famous among honeymooners, this beach is a dreamy location.White sand beaches, blue waters and mild waves. Swimming is fun out here.
Karwar Beach, Karnataka
The water is shallow and is perfect for swimming. But it’s best avoided during the high tide. The water is clean here so along with swimming, you can also do some snorkelling. One best feature of Karwar Beach is that there are no sudden depths on the seafloor.
