A traveller’s COVID-19 essential travel kit
In 2019, when the Coronavirus outbreak happened in China, no one imagined that it will become a deadly pandemic one day. The highly contagious virus locked down the entire world for months. But now, once again, people have gathered courage to travel as a number of countries are easing the restrictions and travel is re-emerging. Travellers are gradually getting back on roads with necessary precautions and measures in the current situation.
So what does a travel kit for a traveller look like in COVID days? Let’s find out:
Double mask
First thing first. Masks have become the priority these days as you can safeguard yourself with the virus if you are masked up (double mask in current environment). Do carry a few spares while travelling.
Oximeter
Carry a digital pulse oximeter while travelling to a high-risk zone destination. Avoid travelling if not necessary.
Hand sanitizer
If you touch any surface and make sure you immediately sanitize your hand with a sanitizer, which has 60 to 70 percent isopropyl alcohol.
Disposable hand gloves
While travelling, it is advisable to wear hand gloves that are disposable.
Disinfectant wipes
Make sure you carry some disinfectant wipes, which can remove the virus from the surface instantly. These wipes are bleach or hydrogen peroxide based cleaners. Remember to wipe your mobile phones and wallets.
Common cold medicines
Do talk to your doctor and get a prescription for common cold. Do not forget your common cold and fever medicines such as Paracetamol. Carry a thermometer too.
