Singapore is the land of richie richs! This is the country where you get to witness the latest sensational cars and bikes. Considered a playground for the rich, Singapore is the sheen of wealth with some super luxury properties and high-end malls. Besides, the country is noted for its excellent public transportation system that makes it easier for travellers to commute and saves a lot of precious time. Having said that, if you are planning a 5-day trip to this futuristic city, there are some awesome attractions that you can’t miss out on.
Let’s checkout some of the most interesting places to visit in Singapore that are worth all your time and money:
Singapore Zoo
The Singapore Zoo is as impressive as it gets and is counted among the best rainforest zoos in the world. Gorgeous, clean and inviting space for animals, the zoo has a wide range of some very interesting animals, including orangutans, chimpanzees, zebras and a komodo dragon too, among others! Make sure you enter the zoo with at least three hours in your hands. Also, the Night Safari, River Safari and the Jurong Bird Park are also must-visit parts of the park!
Singapore Flyer
Well, this observation deck at the Marina Bay Sands is all you want on your Singapore trip! One of the world's largest giant observation wheels, Singapore Flyer offers some stunning views of the Singapore skyline.
Sentosa Island
Though Singapore is not your typical beach destination, the place has Sentosa Island where one can find some sun, sand and sea. This man-made island is a good spot for those craving for some beach time. Besides, the island is home to the famous Underwater World aquarium of Singapore, where one can enjoy swimming with dolphins. Then, there is Merlion, which is the country’s iconic statue with the head of a lion and the body of a fish.
Universal Studios
Spread over some 49 acres, Universal Studios Singapore is an incredible theme park offering entertainment opportunities to kids and adults alike. There are film locations and television shows such as New York City, Hollywood, Madagascar, and Ancient Egypt, among others. Shrek's Far Far Away and Lost World and Revenge of the Mummy are some of the other prime attractions inside.
Night Safari Singapore
Night Safari Singapore is an experience you can’t miss out on! You get to witness the nocturnal lives of Singapore Zoo residents that is incredible. The thing is divided into four sections, namely Leopard Trail, Fishing Cat Trail, East Lodge Trail and Wallaby Trail (the marsupials of Australia).
Marina Bay Sands
An iconic structure in Singapore, Marina Bay Sands is a high-end luxury resort that is noted for being home to a mall with a canal, a museum, and the Marina Bay Sands Skypark Observation Deck from where travellers can get a 360 degree view of the city! Besides, the property is home to one of the largest and finest infinity pools that is in the shape of a ship (only guests are allowed to use the infinity pool), but the observation deck is open to all.
Clarke Quay
Clarke Quay is the place where you go and party in Singapore. The place is noted for its musical evenings and waterfront dining. River taxis and cruises are also available offering travellers a chance to explore the city's historic landmarks and bridges.
Gardens by the Bay
Once you are done marvelling at the Marina Bay Sands, move towards the Gardens by the Bay that is a uniquely designed green space where people can enjoy a wide variety of plant and flower life. The Supertree Grove here is truly inspirational. It’s basically a cluster of the iconic, futuristic structures designed to perform environmentally sustainable functions. Also, do not miss out on witnessing the Cloud Forest Dome here, housing the tallest indoor waterfall in the world! Awesome, right?
Chinatown
If you haven’t yet visited China, do visit Singapore's Chinatown neighbourhood to get the feel of China. Here, you can relish a wide variety of Chinese cuisine and experience Chinese culture. The Chinese Heritage Centre here is quite impressive and the Buddha Tooth Relic temple is a must-visit here.
