The historic Palace of Versailles has just launched a luxury hotel in its premises for the first time. This fans the fantasy of those who would like to live a luxe life, and have an intimate experience in this iconic palace. It is called Airelles Château de Versailles, Le Grand Contrôle, and is the first hotel to open on the palace grounds.
The hotel has 14 rooms and suites with all the royal splendour, and makes for a perfect holiday destination for history, and art buffs. One of the best features of the hotel today is a private tour every evening. Having access to the palace is really a dream come true. After all, it is one of the foremost palaces in the world, and is a place of interest for tourists coming to France.
You even have an indoor swimming pool in the palace grounds, and a lot of perks that were once only reserved for royalty.
Guests will get the opportunity to visit the famous Hall of Mirrors, and also enjoy specific tours such as the one that lets you follow in the footsteps of Marie Antoinette. For couples, there is the chance to enjoy an exclusive dinner for two, which has been created by Alain Ducasse.
