Another San Francisco’s great restaurant showcasing local produce is State Bird Provisions well-known for Asian fusion. State Bird has an ever-changing menu with items altering week to week—which means you can go more often, right?
Open just for dinners, State Bird Provisions has an extensive menu served in a dim sum form of many smaller plates. We recommend beginning your evening by sampling many delicacies on the “Provisions” part of the menu. There are plenty of tasty snacks to work your way through. If you have some time or a few people, you can even select a few of plates to share. Plates include items like pork belly and stone fruit salad, duck liver mousse and salmon spring rolls with jalapeno cream. The Asian inspired morsels are cute and tasty and offer plenty to explore. Provision plates range from $7 to $12 but can vary depending on the ingredients and season.

For those looking for something more substantial, there are larger plates available too ranging from price $14–$30. The larger dishes also showcase the fresh seasonal produce with the Asian fusion theme. Highlights include crispy duck pancakes and red trout with nutty citrus dressing. Also be sure to save plenty of room for dessert too. All dishes are available at $10 and are delicious morsels like stone fruit granita or the homemade hazelnut ice cream sandwich.
