So, if you wish to taste how a meal which is so affordable tastes like, head to one of these eateries in Delhi, Gurugram and Noida to get the experience.
Shri Shyam Rasoi, Nangloi
Shyam Rasoi located in Nangloi area of Delhi has done the unthinkable –serving a variety of food to the people for just INR 1. A kitchen that runs between 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, everyday dishes like rice, vegetable curries, chapatti and a dessert made in pure ghee are cooked for feeding more than a thousand people every day! They depend largely on donations for financing the project.

Ma Foundation, West Delhi
Started by a woman named Muskan who runs an NGO Ma Foundation, people living in and around West Delhi’s Vikaspuri F block, Vikaspuri PVR, Janakpuri and Keshavpur Mandi are able to relish a healthy and delicious food for INR 10. Their daily menu consists of rajma, chole and kadhi-rice, along with roti and raita. They also serve green vegetables. The stalls are open from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, serving both breakfast and lunch.

Dadi Ki Rasoi, Noida
Started in August 2015 by Anup Singh with the objective of serving healthy and homely food to the people who can’t afford an expensive meal, Dadi Ki Rasoi earned great name for itself ever since its inception. Serving a plate of food at only INR 5, Dadi Ki Rasoi now has moved to an air conditioned restaurant in the same area where it would set up its food stall. Their meal features rice, dal or vegetable along with sweets and a serving of fruit all for INR 5. Can you beat that?

Devdoot Food Bank, Gurugram
Devdoot Foodbank is a community kitchen run in Gurugram. They serve one full meal that comprises chapatti, vegetable, lentil, rice, pickle, dessert and a serving of fruit at only INR 5. For customers who can’t afford to pay INR 5, the meal is served free of cost. Even small children and the elderly also get their meal free of cost. The USP of Devdoot Food Bank is the superior taste and hygiene of the food they cook in their own private kitchen. What else can one ask for at INR 5?
