Burrito Bar

If you have a craving for Mexican food, visit The Burrito Bar while you are in Lima. Located in Barranco, it is a tiny local outlet almost hidden from view and has just five tables. Burrito Bar is warm and cosy and has a very friendly atmosphere. Blackboards on the walls display the menu, which is fairly priced and does not burn a hole in the pocket. And this is a major reason for its popularity. But that’s not all—the Burrito Bar serves some great burritos. Burritos are large and made with the freshest of ingredients. The lemonade at Burrito Bar is so popular that everyone seems to be enjoying a glass with his or her food. The turnover of the food is quick and the dishes just keep pouring out of their impeccably clean kitchen
We ordered margaritas to start our meal. These were served just how we like, in large glasses with salt around the rim. And, to our delight, the drinks were served with handmade tortilla chips with guacamole and salsa, which were delicious. The service is good and the owner, Stuart Livesey, is usually at the restaurant making sure everything works seamlessly. So while you are in the area just follow your nose and we are sure the authentic Mexican flavours will lead you to the Burrito Bar to enjoy one of the best meals you have had in a long time.
