Train 18, named Vande Bharat Express; everything you need to know

Train 18, the all-new engine-less train of the Indian Railways is likely to be flagged off the next week. Train 18, named Vande Bharat Express, is a self-propelled train and is set to make its maiden trip from Delhi to Varanasi. Reports suggest that the train is going to cost more than that of Shatabdi Express trains’ Executive and Chair Class fares.
While the Executive Class fare is going to be between INR 2,800 TO 2,900, the Chair Car fare is going to between INR 1,600 to 1,700.

· The semi-high speed train has successfully completed trails wherein it touched the speed of 180 kmph; however, it is capable of touching the maximum speed limit of 200 kmph
· It has been named as Vande Bharat Express
· The train is engine-less, and has traction equipment is fitted below the bogies
· The train has been built by the Integral Coach Factory located in Chennai
· The Vande Bharat Express will roll out and replace Shatabdi Express trains
