Located along the Jumeirah Beach Road, opposite Emirates Hospital and the Jumeirah Beach Park Plaza, is the Jumeirah Beach Park. It is an ideal park for a family picnic during weekends. The Jumeirah beach park spans across 12 hectares of parkland, with supple sand and grassland, and resembles a marvellous painting of landscaping and environmental co-ordination. Jumeirah Beach Park was the first beach park opened in 1989 on a 13 hectare land. It overlooks directly into the Arabian Gulf in Jumeirah residential area. The park is distinguished by different earth levels, constituting group of green hills, surrounded by recreational and game areas.
The Jumeirah Beach Park also offers lots of facilities for people with special needs, and the park has been specially designed to serve this category of the community. Special parking lots have been allocated for this purpose close to the gate. Further, special toilets are designed for people with special needs.
Walking on this grassland is a real treat, as it is a couple of degrees cooler than the beach. Moreover, Jumeirah Beach Park is the only park in Dubai that has a women-only day. The park now plans to have one more day reserved exclusively for ladies. On the whole, the park has an interesting combination of blue waters, golden sands and green lawns, and makes the perfect place to relax and unwind with beach picnic and water adventures.
The entry fee into the park is Dh.5 per person, while the parking charges are Dh.20 per car. Entry is free of charge for people with special needs.
Jumeirah Beach Park is open between 7.30am and 10pm (daily) while Saturdays are for ladies and children only.
