Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio recently launched a portal that would facilitate the process of getting Inner Line Permit (ILP) for tourists visiting the state. He launched the portal to ensure people visiting the state do not face any kind of hassles. The permits, commonly referred to as ILPs are required by all non-Nagas to visit Nagaland. Read less
Referring to this, the Chief Minister said that he is happy to launch the ILP for visitors; he also added that he is hopeful of the fact that this move will help promote tourism in this region. A senior official stated that the present online ILP module is only for domestic tourists.
To get an ILP online, one will have to visit the portal, register on it with their phone number, and then follow the instructions given. It has been designed in such a manner that you will also be able to pay the fees for procuring ILP online.
Elaborating further on this, Abhijit Sinha also stated that the state Home Department has plans to extend this online module to other categories of ILP applicants too.
