A city must have a great vibe, and that comes with great living spaces. The city of Miami, which is already known for its amazing vibes is now getting a 10 mile park that is going to inspire its residents. The park will come with an outdoor gym, butterfly gardens, and even biking trails. Perfect for all age groups, the all-new park is called Underline, and is located under the Miami Metrorail track.
The project is an initiative of a non-profit called Friends of the Underline, and according to them, it is basically reimagining the unused space below the metro rail. It is being said that the park can be very easily accessible to all, even those without cars, simply by gaining access to mass transit.
The park has been inspired by the High Line in New York, which is 1.4 mile long green space, an elevated linear park that has been built with a focus on ecology, architecture, and urban design. On the other hand, London too is getting an elevated park. Green spaces are slowly reclaiming big cities where it was once impossible to imagine such a development.
These parks and green spaces will surely enable people to get a better understanding of the environment, and to appreciate nature. Amidst concrete buildings, and the hustle bustle of mid-day traffic, these spaces pose as pleasant surprises.
