Stargazing in an evening cruise – Shaped like a crescent, Lake Geneva extends from South to East, with Geneva located at the southern tip of the crescent. Situated in the south of Switzerland, Lake Geneva is the largest lake in Western Europe, and is shared between Switzerland and France. Besides the city of Geneva, the lake is lined by Lausanne, and other pretty towns dotted with vineyards. Falling in love with the azure expanse of Lake Geneva is easy. The lake shore is buzzing with bars, restaurants, cafes, and spas. The best way to explore the lake is to take an evening cruise, when the lake water shimmers with the glow of the sunset. The lights from the shoreline cast twinkling reflections after dark. Geneva actually has four docks, and you can take a ferry from any of them. Round trips from Geneva to Bellevue are the most popular lake cruise. This hour long cruise passes by fairy-tale châteaux, beaches, and mansions of some of the wealthiest Swiss citizens. Soak in the beauty of lake Geneva and its shoreline over a glass of wine. If you are up for some fun, then go for a party boat where a live band with barbeque will liven up the evening in Geneva.
