If you have come to Edmonton for live entertainment, you certainly won’t be disappointed at Citadel Theatre, a hive of country’s greatest comedians and performers. Located downtown in the Arts District, this theatre is the largest of its kind in all of Canada and offers everything from musical performances to plays to comic acts. With a constantly changing line-up, it is best to look ahead and book your tickets early as many of these shows do sell out. Citadel Theatre collaborates with a number of restaurants throughout the year to offer a ‘dine and play’ pass for just under $100 per person. What this pass gets you is a three-course meal from one of the partnering restaurants as well as a ticket to your choice of play—a pretty stellar deal! There is actually a total of seven different venues in the theatre, some offering a more intimate seating experience while others are reserved for the popular sold-out shows that allow a large number of people to view it at one time. With reasonable ticket prices, a slew of talented performers and a gorgeous setting, Citadel Theatre is certainly one of the most celebrated attractions in the city.
