Like every year, Durga Puja pandals across India have come up with interesting themes to please the visitors. News has it that one of the pandal committees in Varanasi has implemented the Chandrayaan-2 theme to honour the successful moon-mission of ISRO this year. The pandal is reportedly 100 feet high which has been painstakingly made to give the feeling that one is walking in space.
According to the news reports, the thousands of letterboxes used for the pandal have the address of all the known iconic Bengali personalities who have made a mark in their chosen field. So, you can see addresses of Sourav Ganguly, Subhash Chandra Bose and other Bengali celebrities who have made it big in their lifetime.
Likewise, a pandal in New Delhi’s CR Park has also chosen a similar theme by remaking Jorashanko Thakurbari, the birthplace of Nobel Prize laureate Rabindranath Tagore. A few displays of Shantiniketan are also put up at the pandal. Besides, this pandal will be serving bhog on plates made using betel leaves and immersing the idols of the deities in artificial pond to avoid any adverse the impact on the eco system.
