The Vietnam Natural Museum of History covers eastern arts as well as the national history in Vietnam. The museum was established in 1958 and is home to over 200,000 exhibits, which date back to prehistory and all the way up to the 1945 revolution as well as the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
Some of the exhibits in the museum include the Hung era, the Neolithic mortuaries, and artifacts from the Cham period. A sculpture of the Goddess of Mercy, Quan Am, is also on display, as well as the Dong Son drums, stone implements pottery, and ceramics. Hindu Statuary from the Khmer and Champa kingdoms are also available for viewing, as well as various displays relating to French occupation.
