Jio launches JioTele OS – ‘India’s own smart TV operating system’
Jio has launched JioTele OS, a next-generation Smart TV operating system that aims to meet the unique needs of Indian audiences and cater to approximately 35 million connected TV households in India. JioTele OS aims to transform Indian households with a fast, premium, and content-rich Smart TV platform at an affordable price.
JioTele OS offers AI-powered recommendations, integration of global and regional content, support for leading apps and regular updates, the company says This initiative seeks to transform entertainment in India, ensuring seamless and accessible viewing for every household.
Experience seamless 4K streaming with a lag-free performance for an elevated viewing experience. Users can also access a vast library of content, including TV channels, cloud games, and their favourite OTT apps, all with effortless navigation and a single remote.
And with continuous software updates, the smart TV ensures compatibility with the latest apps, formats, and security features.
Televisions powered by JioTele OS will be available starting February 21, debuting with Smart TV brands such as Thomson, Kodak, BPL and JVC. More brands are set to join the lineup in 2025, Jio says.
