Amkette XS Natural Plus review: Built for comfort and control
Rating: 3.5/5The computer mouse has gone from being a mere pointing device to one that directly affects productivity and comfort. As more and more people work longer hours across spreadsheets, documents, editing timelines, and multiple screens, ergonomic mice have slowly transitioned from niche accessories to practical work tools – which is essentially the idea behind Amkette's XS Natural Plus.
Ergonomic design
Priced at Rs 2,199, Amkette's XS Natural Plus targets users who want a more natural hand position than a regular one – without stepping into the premium productivity category. On paper, it checks most boxes, including multi-device connectivity, silent buttons, customisable controls and an ergonomic vertical-style design. We used the mouse for work, browsing, and editing tasks over several days, and here’s what we think about it:

Design and comfort

The first thing you will notice about the XS Natural Plus is the shape. Unlike a regular flat mouse, this one is built to keep your wrist at a more relaxed angle with the back of the hand facing on the right side rather than above.
Supports natural hand position
It takes some time to get used to, especially if you are moving from a traditional compact mouse, but after a few days, the difference becomes noticeable during longer sessions. The curved body supports the palm’s natural shape and reduces the need to twist the wrist inward.
During our usage, the design felt more comfortable for extended spreadsheet work, document editing and general browsing. The mouse is slightly bulkier than standard office mice, but its shape helps distribute grip pressure more evenly across the hand.
Easy to customise controls
The matte ABS plastic finish feels decent for the price, while the textured sides improve grip during quick movements. At 95 grams, the weight sits somewhere in the middle, which is not very light or too heavy. The PTFE feet underneath glide smoothly across most desk surfaces, including a wooden table without a mousepad. One thing we particularly appreciated was the silent Huano switches. The buttons remain tactile but avoid the sharp click sound commonly associated with office mice. Whether during late-night work or meetings, the quieter clicks make daily usage feel less distracting.
Blutooth device switching button
The OLED display positioned near the thumb area is another small addition that turns out to be more practical than expected. It shows battery percentage, DPI level, and active connection mode in real time, so you do not always have to rely on software to check the status.

Performance and connectivity

The XS Natural Plus supports multiple connection modes, including 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth and wired connectivity. You can connect the mouse to multiple devices simultaneously and switch between them using the button under the mouse.
USB-C charging port
During testing, switching between a Windows laptop and a MacBook worked reliably. Bluetooth pairing was straightforward, while the bundled 2.4GHz dongle offered a more responsive experience for precise cursor movement. We did not encounter random disconnects or noticeable lag during normal productivity usage. The mouse offers DPI settings from 400 to 6400. While most users may stay around the default 1600 DPI setting, the flexibility helps depending on screen size and workload. Lower DPI levels felt suitable for editing documents, while higher sensitivity made navigating across large monitors faster.Scrolling performance was another area where the experience felt smooth. The vertical scroll wheel is smooth without becoming overly loose, while the horizontal wheel becomes useful when navigating wide spreadsheets or video editing timelines. It is one of those features that may seem secondary initially, but slowly becomes part of the workflow once you get used to it.We also tried the mouse with shooting games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 to see how it handled faster movements. While the XS Natural Plus is clearly designed for productivity rather than competitive gaming, its ergonomic shape surprisingly helped reduce wrist strain during longer gameplay sessions. The textured grip and stable palm rest made aiming feel precise and accurate, particularly during prolonged gaming sessions when comfort is equally essential. In addition, the 2.4 GHz wireless function provided seamless tracking with no input lag.Amkette also provides web-based customisation software for Windows and macOS. Through the software, users can assign shortcuts, configure buttons and set macros. The interface is relatively straightforward, though not as extensive as some premium productivity ecosystems.Battery life was consistent throughout our testing. Amkette claims it can last up to 135 hours, and while real-world usage depends on the connection mode and workload, we had no problem using the mouse for a week without needing to charge it. Also convenient is the addition of USB Type-C charging support.VerdictThe Amkette XS Natural Plus focuses less on flashy additions and more on improving day-to-day comfort. Priced at Rs 2,199, the mouse comes with an ergonomic design, silent buttons, and multi-device flexibility, creating a user experience that feels practical for long working hours. However, the transition from a standard mouse will require an adjustment period for some users. While users with smaller hands may initially find the shape slightly bulky. But once familiar, the relaxed wrist positioning and quieter operation become easier to appreciate during regular work.Features like the OLED display, horizontal scrolling and customisable controls further add utility without making the mouse feel overly complicated. For users who spend most of their day navigating documents, spreadsheets, or multiple screens, the XS Natural Plus offers a comfortable alternative to a conventional office mouse at an affordable price.
