GoJavas appoints Amitabh Coomar as CEO
NEW DELHI: Logistics firm GoJavas today said it has made changes in its top leadership team and appointed Amitabh Coomar as CEO. "The company now has a CEO, Amitabh Coomar, an MBA from IIM-Ahmedabad who brings with him an impressive track record of 19 years spread between the Indian Army and ITC Limited," the company said in a statement.
Vijay Ghadge, who served as the company's COO, has left to start his own venture.
Coomar has successfully led teams in tough and diverse environments including a stint at the world's highest battlefield, the Siachen Glacier, it said. He was also part of ITC's frontline leadership team and has been instrumental in growing its food and personal care business, the company said.
Besides, the company said Jai Vohra, an IIT-Kharagpur and ISB Hyderabad alumnus and earlier the Head of Marketplace at Jabong.com, will now head the company's Strategy and Planning functions.
Coomar said GoJavas will continue to provide its clients a long term partnership and scalable business solutions.
"While we have always taken pride in the service level differentiation that we have created vis-a-vis competition, we are also working on strategies that would further capitalise on our strengths to remain ahead of competition by being innovative, competitive as well as reliable," he added.
Founded in 2011, GoJavas is one of the fastest growing logistic companies in the e-commerce sector and is the first company to offer order tracking facility on android phones.
